CHARLES DICKENS

Charles Dickens was in fact the fashion photographer David Anthony, who had two minor hits in 1965 on Pye records.

A year later, Andrew Loog Oldham gave him the opportunity to record a Jagger/Richards song, "So Much In Love," for the Immediate label.

The B-side featured The All Stars’ “Steelin’,” released under the title "Our Soul Brother TH" and also credited to Dickens.

Notably, "Steelin’" was recorded by The All Stars featuring Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Nicky Hopkins, Carlo Little, and Cliff Barton—one of the earliest Immediate sessions.

Immediate label press materials at the time emphasized Jimmy Page's role as house producer and session player, often assembling “supergroup” lineups like this.

Although “So Much In Love / Our Soul Brother TH” was not a major chart success, it has become a prized rarity among collectors for its Rolling Stones songwriting, The All Stars' performance, and Jimmy Page’s involvement on the session.
